Why do some Sudanese sources show much lower gold prices?
Those are usually mine and mill prices: Sudan is one of Africa’s largest gold producers, and raw, unrefined gold from artisanal mining (often quoted on local market platforms) trades below the refined world-parity value because it still needs refining and carries impurities and weight loss. Our prices are for refined gold — the right basis for shop jewellery and bullion.
Which karat is most popular in Sudan?
